Breitling for Bentley
England and Switzerland are celebrating the ten
years since they met in great style. It was in 2003
that the energy of a Bentley which had started
racing in the Le Mans 24 hours once again met
Breitling precision. Three new mechanisms which
link the intrepid spirit of the motorcar with the
sophistication of fine watchmaking. Bentley B06,
Bentley B05 Unitime and Bentley B04 GMT. It is
a trio which is certified by COSC (Official Swiss
Chronograph Control) which is the offspring
of this encounter between these two top class

houses. The distinguishing feature of this Bentley
B06 are its special ‘30 second chronograph’ and
its ‘variable tachometer’ which are internationally
unique features which make it such a one off and
its high frequency automatic movements. Bentley
B05 Unitime and Bentley B04 GMT are aimed at
men for whom life is an art with the former’s dual
time zone and the latter’s single hour.

Alpina extreme
The new Alpina brand item has two variants: automatic
and quartz.
Extreme Diver 300 Orange has been designed for
all those who love underwater watches and for
professional divers. Its two versions differ only in
their movements and sizes (a 44mm case for the
automatic, 38mm for the quartz model) but are
very similar in other respects.
Both are in anti-reflex, non-scratch sapphire glass
to make them easy to read, both have fluorescent
indicators, hands and bezel which can save
lives in total darkness and both are elegantly
sporty and comfortable. Straps are available in
metal or rubber. An orange colour was chosen
on the basis of the process of colour absorption
in deep water.
In these situations, in fact, it has been shown that
orange is the colour which ensures the greatest
contrast - the deeper the water the more readable
the numbers.
And all this down to 300 metres.
