Exitation Function Measurements for_(ji, 2ri)__and (n,j))_
Reactions.
M.Bormann, A.Behrendt and O.Vogel
Excitation functions for some (n,2n) and (n,p) reactions
were measured in the neutron energy region 13-19.MeV using
the activation technique. Gamma activities were detected by
means of a NaJ-w.ell crystal, the annihilation radiation from
í¿ -activities was observed with a coincidence spectrometer
consisting of two NaJ crystals and B~-activities were
measured with a Methane-flow-counter. Neutrons were produced
"5 / \ 4
via the reaction II (d,njHe in thin titanium-tritium targets
with the deuteron beam of a 3 MeV Van de Graaff Generator.
The neutron flux was measured with a Stilbene recoil proton
spectrometer.
The results are given in Table I. In most cases the half-
lives of the activities produced have been remeasured. These
values are stated in Table I with error indications.
