Koester Together with the precise value of the coherent scattering length of Bl it is necessary to measure the free crosssection of Bi with great accuracy in order to determine the neutron-electron-interaction. For this purpose a resonance detector made of Rh respectively Ag has been developed which is working in a continous fashion. Moreover a filter difference method is applied, so that the fraction of all neutrons with an energy above 1000 eV contributing to the cross-section measurement is less than 2.10~5. The first results have been obtained with two Bi-samples of different thickness (l,25eV) - (9,16 + 0,04) b (l,25eV) = (9,19 ± 0,04) b The final accuracy is expected to be somewhat better than 10-5.
