Public Key Cryptography<br />
The key pair is generated by the owner.<br />
The private key is only known to its owner whereas<br />
the public key is given to the correspondent or<br />
published on the directory servers.<br />
So long as the private key is kept secret to the owner,<br />
data encrypted using the public key and sent to the<br />
owner can only be decrypted by the private key.<br />
The RSA Data Security's public key algorithm has<br />
become the industry standard.<br />
