Access Control
The smart card access control system controls file access.
In order to allow data and/or objects (files and directories)
to be moved to and from cards, access control lists are
used to provide controlled access.
The actions that can be performed on the file e.g. read,
write, update, delete are restricted by the access control
list.
The abilities associated with a file are set with the
associated access condition to provide a fine grain
security.
The levels of access conditions provided varies from smart
cards depending on the application they provide.
