Newman Theological College offers you the
opportunity to learn about the rich tradition of the
Catholic faith from your own home. Our five-week
online courses are open to adults of all backgrounds
and education levels. Choose from such courses as
Scripture, Jesus Christ, Prayer, Sacraments, Christian
Morality, Church History, Catechesis, and Youth
Ministry.

carefully built collection of materials in the new Sopchyshyn
Family Library. Come and visit this superb resource! It is

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
When I reflect on the generous support you
have given to the Foundation of St. Joseph
Seminary and Newman Theological College
over the years, my first reaction is one of
sincere and deep gratitude. Without you, the
vital missions of these institutions simply
could not unfold.
Day-to-day operating expenses never go
down, as you know from operating your
own households and businesses. Now, at a
time when charitable giving is particularly
difficult for many families, I am appealing to
you to keep up your faithful support of the
Foundation so that our college and seminary
can continue their important work. We need
your donations today.
We are all beneficiaries of the training our
graduates receive. They generously serve us as
parish priests, school teachers and catechists,
chaplains, missionaries and pastoral workers.
I encourage you to give generously to support
those who seek a deeper understanding
of faith so that they can serve God in our
world. Continue to pray that more people
will answer the call of the Lord and help St.
Joseph Seminary and Newman Theological

Day of Reconciliation
As a part of celebrating our Jubilee 100 we plan
a special Day of Reconciliation on Wednesday,
March 6, 2013. We will invite everyone to visit
the nearest Catholic church and receive this
beautiful healing sacrament.

Icon of St. Joseph the Worker
We have contracted iconographer Andre Prevost
to write a new icon of our patron saint, to be
unveiled at the Mass on May 1, 2013. Plans are
under way to have the icon travel to each parish in
the Archdiocese before its permanent installation
at the Basilica.
