need to research new values and to reset our interactions and responsibilities. This is about
food, land use, community building, culture. Eat, land, man, art.
Het Groene Woud does research with a new form of land art, in Dutch Landkunst. We see this
land art as art that re-searcht the site, both physical and spatial, as hoostoric, social and
economical. Landkunst is land art that brings new values.
Friday June 21 and Saturday June 22: conference Eat Land Man Art at Boxtel
A two days conference with European partners brings a review of our search of new rural values and
city-land linkage. Art and so land art brings new views and brings the rural area a new experience for
citizen and tourist. The European Union underlines the need of new rural values. The EU brings new
rural programs to experience with new responsibilities and new interaction about: food production,
land use, community building, culture. Eat, land, man, art.
Het Groene Woud participates as region in the European network for applied land art to research
these values with permanent and temporary land art. Land art is translated as Landkunst, which
underlines in Dutch the meaning of land as integrated concept. Landkunst is a way of art that listens
to the site, with its history, men and nature. Landkunst is cooperating with the values of the site to
bring future based values.
