What Languages Are Spoken in the<br />

Czech Republic?<br />

The official language in the Czech<br />

Republic is Czech . The most widespread<br />

<strong>for</strong>eign language is English .<br />

Older people also speak German<br />

quite often . As a result of the common<br />

past Slovak and Russian are<br />

also frequently spoken on the territory<br />

of the Czech Republic .<br />

The Climate in the Czech Republic<br />

The climate differs markedly among<br />

the various regions of the Czech<br />

Republic, depending on the height<br />

above sea level . Generally speaking,<br />

the higher you are, the more frequently<br />

you can experience the drop<br />

of average temperatures and the occurrence<br />

of rainfall is more likely .<br />

Many other factors also play an important<br />

role in its climate – the border<br />

mountain ranges, <strong>for</strong> example,<br />

winter . After this season comes<br />

spring, followed by a warm summer<br />

and chilly autumn . The alternation<br />

of the seasons has a marked effect,<br />

above all on vegetation .<br />
