syndrome<br />
• May result in congenital loss <strong>of</strong> parts.<br />
• Floating strands <strong>of</strong> amnion wrap around<br />
affected part. Early foetal life –<br />
amputation. Later foetal life – deep or<br />
shallow concentric bands.<br />
• Deep bands affect venous and lymphatic<br />
drainage causing distal portion to enlarge.
