Listed here are the addresses of every known fur farm in North America. The addresses<br />

in this volume were taken from The Final Nail #3, released in the summer of 2008. For a<br />

broader understanding of the fur industry and 25 pages of information supplementing the<br />

addresses, we encourage referencing The Final Nail #3.<br />

UNIVERSITY & PRIVATE RESEARCH<br />

The fur industry relies on research done in labs to increase their profits through further manipulation of housing<br />

conditions, breeding, and feed.<br />

FUR AUCTION HOUSES<br />

Where trappers and fur farmers sell the skins to retailers, wholesalers, and brokers. A weak point in the industry, as<br />

only a few auction houses remain open.<br />

FUR FARM FEED SUPPLIERS<br />

The values of the pelts are largely due to their quality, and quality is closely related to specially blended feed developed<br />

by feed suppliers. These are a crucial component of the industry and there are only a handful left. Many also<br />

have experimental fur farms.<br />

FUR FARMS<br />

FOX – 16 mink farms also raise fox in the U.S. as of 2006. There are no USDA statistics for fox farms and the<br />

exact number is not known.<br />

LYNX - Approximately 40 farms still imprison lynx in North America.<br />

MINK – The U.S. has 271 mink farms as of 2006.<br />

TRAPPING SUPPLIERS<br />

Businesses selling leg-hold and other traps for killing wild fur animals.<br />
