D. By the end of the school year any changes in an eighth grade student's status will be<br />

communicated in writing to the ninth grade campus.<br />

AC. STUDENT TRANSFER<br />

Students transferring from one school to another within the <strong>Aldine</strong> district will have permanent<br />

records sent to the receiving school.<br />

AD. ENROLLMENT OF STUDENTS<br />

Students who have been home schooled or from non-accredited (private) schools.<br />

To determine grade placement for these students, a school committee will use a variety of methods.<br />

These methods may include standardized tests, benchmark tests, released TASK test, student<br />

portfolios, etc.<br />

AE. AWARDS<br />

Those who have missed no days for the school year (perfect attendance); and<br />

Additional awards may be given to other outstanding students at the discretion of the principal.<br />

Honor Roll/Merit Roll<br />

Each six weeks, students in <strong>Aldine</strong> are recognized for their academic excellence by their<br />

selection to the Honor Roll or Merit Roll. The district uses the following guidelines in each<br />

school throughout the district:<br />

Students receiving all A’s to all A’s and up to 2 B’s will be placed on the Honor Roll.<br />

Student receiving all A’s and 3 or more B’s will be placed on the Merit Roll.<br />

AF. ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY FOR EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES<br />

I. Check all extra-curricular students' grades at the end of the 1 st six weeks:<br />
