2. All intermediate schools will have an opportunity to participate in the Honor Choir if<br />
student audition prerequisites are met. Students must score 90% or higher on the audition<br />
material in order to obtain membership in the Honor Choir.<br />
Perfect Attendance<br />
1. Attendance must be verifiable through school records (i.e., report cards, permanent<br />
records).<br />
2. If records are not available from other campuses, it will be the responsibility of the parents<br />
to provide records or make phone calls that may be necessary to obtain documentation.<br />
3. Students with perfect attendance in grades one through six will be recognized in the sixth<br />
grade.<br />
4. Perfect Attendance will be indicated by "0" absences as reported on official school district<br />
records of pupil accounting.<br />
Art<br />
1. The honoree will have the Best of Show winning art work for the <strong>Aldine</strong> district in the<br />
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo <strong>School</strong> Art program.<br />
2. Students receiving any other district, regional, state or national honor will be honored, such<br />
as a Youth Art Month Exhibit, Fire Prevention Poster contest, PTA Reflections and Energy<br />
Conservation Poster contests, etc.<br />
Straight A's<br />
1. Students with straight A’s will be honored.<br />
2. If records are not available from other campuses, it will be the parental responsibility to<br />
provide verifiable records or make phone calls necessary to obtain documentation.<br />
3. The areas to be considered for straight A's will be the yearly average of written<br />
composition, reading, mathematics, science, and social studies.<br />
Intermediate will include elective grades.<br />
General<br />
1. Any student will be honored who has received recognition at the district, regional, state or<br />
national level in a school or district related program or function. Example: history fair,<br />
science fair, Destination Imagination.<br />
