1 Introduction<br />
1.1 Notice<br />
• The material and instructions covered in this manual have been carefully checked for accuracy<br />
and are presumed to be correct. However, the manufacturer assumes no responsibility for<br />
inaccuracies and reserves the right to modify and revise this document without notice.<br />
• These instructions cover the installation of the <strong>Fire</strong> Alarm<br />
Control <strong>Panels</strong>. Refer to the User <strong>Manual</strong> (P/N 996-182-000-X)<br />
for details of how to operate the system and refer to the<br />
Commissioning <strong>Manual</strong> (P/N 996-175-000-X) for information on<br />
programming and Level 3 functions.<br />
For use with software<br />
version 834 onwards<br />
• The ZX1Se, ZX2Se, ZX5Se and ZX10Se <strong>Fire</strong> Alarm Control <strong>Panels</strong> are 1, 1-2, 1-5 and 1-10 loop<br />
panels for use with analogue addressable devices from the following detector manufacturer ranges:<br />
Apollo<br />
Hochiki<br />
<strong>Morley</strong>-IAS<br />
Nittan<br />
1.2 Warnings and Cautions<br />

These instructions contain procedures to follow in order to avoid injury and damage to<br />
equipment. It is assumed that the user of this manual is a suitably trained installer who is<br />
familiar with the relevant regulations.<br />

Take suitable ESD precautions when removing or installing printed circuit boards.<br />
This panel is CE Marked to show that it conforms to the requirements of the following<br />
European Community Directives:<br />
• Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC (and the amending directive<br />
92/23/EEC)<br />
• Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC<br />
This symbol identifies that the Panel uses a safety isolating mains transformer.<br />
