We you coem back home after working as a volunteer in Cape Town you can
often feel very lonely with your thoughts and experiences. You can speak to
family, friends working colegues etc but no one can really understand what you
have been through. Maybe you even have decided to become a Christian while
you were away and when you get home you don’t have any Christian friends.
The vision with the Phemba Forum is to be there for those volunteers when they
come back to Sweden. Maybe arrange meetings when you just meet to talk, do
something together, Biblestudies, prayer or whatever it may be.
Meetings for old and new volunteers will also be arranged. The old volunteers
can then share their experiences with the once who are about to become
volunteers.
A leading-group has been formed for the Phemba Forum and I have the honour
to lead it. (A presentation of these persons is given in this newsletter).

Everybody in the leading-group has been volunteers in Cape Town och have
the experience of what it is to live and work as a volunteer and also how it is to
come back to Sweden with all the new experiences and somehow get back to
the life in Sweden.
I believe that the forum will have an important roll and I’m looking forward of
what will happen in the future and I’m convinced that the Lord will lead us!

Jenn Jenn Jenny Jenn Jenny
y Brandberg Brandberg – leader for Phemba Forum. She has
worked with Phemba since the start in 1999. She has been a
part of all the projects in Cape Town and been a leader for
the volunteers. Now she is studying Social work in Jönköping.
Johan Johan Gederberg Gederberg – volunteer in Cape Town
3 months in 2005, where he worked mostly with the students at
Cathkin High School, and Swedish students in the programme “Mark
for life”. He now works as a district manager at Espresso House in
Gothenburg.
Josefin Josefin Fransson Fransson – volunteer in Cape Town 3
months in 2011, where she worked with the
students at Cathkin High School, and was very involved in the girls
group there. She also worked at Pollsmoor Prison. Josefin is now
studying to become a broker in Halmstad.
Linnea Linnea Ammon Ammon
Ammon – volunteer in Cape Town 6 weeks in 2011,
where she worked with the students at Cathkin High School,
and was very involved in the girls group there. Linnea is now
stuying International relations in Gothenburg.
Jimm Jimmy Jimm Jimm y Johansson Johansson Johansson – volunteer in Cape
Town 6 weeks in 2012 and 3 months in 2011. He worked mostly
at Cathkin High School and Pollsmoor Prison. Jimmy is now
working at Ö-varvet and also have his own company.
Nathalie Nathalie Carlsson Carlsson – have been in Cape
Town as a student with her class from
Hulebäcksgymnasiet in 2005 and 2007,
she then came back as a volunteer for 3 months in 2008.
She has worked at Red Cross Childrens Hospital, Ubuntu
and Pollsmoor Prison. Now she works at XXL Sport in
Gothenburg.

Sponsor meeting
On Friday 30 March we had a
sponsor meeting. We were in
the conference room of Övarvet
on Öckerö. Many
sponsors came to hear about
the work of Phemba.

TJ and Marie started by giving
information about Phemba
and what has happened and
what future plans we have.
Jimmy Johansson and Linnea
Ammon who has been
volunteers in Cape Town spoke about their experiences Linnea, there Jimmy and och Josefin how it
has affected them.
Jenny Brandberg spoke about some of
the projects. Stefan Larsson, one of the
sponsors who has been visiting Phemba
in Cape Town spoke about his
experiences there and encouraged the
sponsors and said that their support
really helps. Later we had some food
together and had a wonderful
fellowship! We are also grateful for the
salmon which we got sponsored. There
was one salmon left over and it was
auctioned out, the money goes to
Phemba.
It was a really good evening and it was
nice to see the sponsors who makes the
work of Phemba possible! You are
worth gold! We pray that God will
richly bless you!!!
