Ch: May the Circle be unbroken
Through the seasons of rebirth.
May Her love bind us together,
All the children of the Earth.
And the Lady in the Springtime,
Wears a robe of living green.
And renews us with Her waters,
Ever living, cool and clean.
And the Lady, in the Summer,
Wears a robe of shining gold.
And She cools us with Her breezes
Breathing love for young and old.
And the lady, in the Autumn,
Wears a robe of ruby red.
Earth, her body, overflowing,
With her gifts of wine and bread.
And the Lady, in the Winter,
Wears a robe of silver white.
And She warms us with her fire,
With her spirit, and Her light.
125. Star-Spangled Pagan
(to tune of “The Star-Spangled Banner”)
This night we partook
Of fellowship bright
In the manner of ancients
Beneath the clear starlight
Our fair Lady and Lord,
Their patronage giv’n,
The dance of their union
We danced once again.
‘Neath the star-spangled sky,
Ah, the wine, how it flowed!
Hear now our most ancient
Of blessings bestowed:
The Circle is open
But shall never be broken
Merry meet and merry part
And merry meet again!
—Laurie Olson & Cynthia Lee
Back, back, back
Back, back, back
Through the middle of the hourglass
Back, back, back
Rooted deep within the Earth
I am dreaming in the darkness,
Dreaming in the light
Dreaming possibilities,
Opening my life.
