Place a 7-day candle on your altar in the color of whatever you wish to manifest: green for money, pink for love, blue for inner peace, brown for security in the home, yellow for joy, etc. In front of the candle, place the Empress tarot card, or else a Queen of Hearts from a regular deck of cards. Sprinkle a combination of meadowsweet, clover, and rose petals around the arrangement. On a slip of paper write the following incantation and place it under the candle. Light the candle and repeat the incantation for at least three rounds each day for seven days leading up to the full moon. The Universe is blessing me Abundantly Every day in every way With good toward all and harm to none So mote it be! Chant this invocation three times each day for the duration of the candle. On the day of the full moon, gather the herbs and strew them outside your front door. When the candle burns out, recycle the glass jar and keep the Empress card someplace where you will pass her each day until you receive what you asked for. Then, either return her to your deck permanently, or save her for your summer altar. Recycle any supplies or items that you can, and keep the incantation in your wallet or purse until that which you desire has appeared. 137. Book II: Rites & Rituals 121 138. Daily A ffirmations (Stand before your mirror as you say these affirmations) I am a divine and beautiful being. I choose to live each moment with appreciation and complete acceptance of my own divinity and beauty. I choose to appreciate and accept the beauty in all beings and the perfect divinity in each moment. I open my heart to the possibility of love and benefit from every being and each moment. I purge myself of all doubt, negativity, judgmental tendencies, guilt, panic, and fearful thinking. I always seek that which I need to grow, to bud, to bloom, to blossom, to fruit, to bear seed. I dare to draw into myself the positive manifestation of each trial and difficulty, the rightness of every lesson. I breathe deeply and savor the love and benefit that surrounds and embraces my life as I live it each moment. I forgive myself with each breath I take and renew my transformative intentions with every beat of my heart. I glory in the goodness and rightness of all that I encounter and all that I am. I am a divine and beautiful being. —Donna Henes 139. Ancient Scottish Blessing Bless ourselves and our children, Bless every one who shall come from our loins, Bless him whose name we bear, Bless her from whose womb we came. Every holiness, blessing and power, Be yielded to us every time and every hour, In the name of the Holy Threefold above, Maiden, Mother, and Crone eternal. Be the Foundations of Earth to shield us downward, Be the Lights of Heaven to shield us upward, Be the Breath of Spirit to shield us outward, Be the Waters of Life to shield us inward. Accepting our sacred blessing from us, Accepting our sacred blessing from us. —Traditional; adapted by Oberon 140. T he Morning Song Blesséd is this morning, Washed awake with dew and light. Blesséd is this day, all that lives—lives true! Blesséd are the gods in their lands— Blesséd are the men. Blesséd are all things that breathe, Or sleep no more! Blesséd is this day! Goddess threefold Goddess! Blesséd is this day! —Mark Will, 1974 141. A Blessing of Spirit (to be spoken to the one being blessed by a priestess, speaking for the Goddess) I will always love you. I guarantee that nothing will ever happen to cause me to stop loving you. I love you for who you are, not what you do or don’t do. I accept you for who you are at this moment, and I welcome the changes your growth brings. I accept the person you have been and I accept the person you will be— unconditionally. I will protect you and keep you safe; No harm will come to you because it would have to come through me And I am powerful enough to keep you safe. I will meet all of your needs that I can, And I will support you meeting your needs the way you see fit. I am neither jealous nor possessive, but I am faithful. I love you. I am devoted to you. I am always here for you; whenever you think of me or look for me or call me, I am with you. I always have enough time and energy and attention for you. Turn toward me and I will envelop you in my light and my wings will comfort you And soothe your fear and your pain. I am your shield and your strength, Your shade-tree in the summer and your campfire at night, Your food, water and air. I am all around you always, in all ways. —Abbi Spinner McBride
