floods and draught in the area like Balaghat which
is paddy growing area is that due to traditional
knowledge and practice, all the fields filled with
water for crop, in this process the whole area of
agriculture convert in a kind of blockage which don’t
allow water to absorb in the mansoon which
ultimately create draught in summer.
Some of the recommendations are as follows :
1. All the data available at government, non
government Academic and Research institutions
should be compiled and made available to
everybody on internet.
2. All the latest Rainwater harvesting techniques
should be compiled and made available to all
interested individual and institutions from panchayat
to national level.
3. All the works from traditional knowledge to
the latest one should be collected and made available
to everybody.
4. This is a work which needs involvement of
everybody at every level so the planning, Execution,
media should also come together and work with
target and result oriented strategy.
5. Develop some systematic plan with the help
and guidance of planning commission to suit every
body and every sector.
6. formation of high power committees from
National to village level with the involvement of
every sector.
7. All the Government, Nongovernment,
Panchayat, Cooperatives, Media, Technical
institutions should be the members of this
committee.
8. proper feed back systems are very essential for
the monitoring and follow up.
9. Near railway lines, Roadsides, canals
plantation work should be encouraged.
10. Some special Award can be launched for proper
implementation, as this is very positive way to
recognize for their outstanding works in the field.
11. All the Panchayats should be involved to take
necessary works related rainwater harvesting these
grass root agencies are very effective for such works.
When rahim says these words in the year —
— there were no water scarcity, nor water was
polluted, even at that time he was well aware, that
the gift of nature is how precious, for the existence
of the planet which believes that there is only earth,
where the life is, we can see how limited the
availability of water, which we are using without
even thinking, about the fact that this can not be
produced in any factory, except through the nature
itself, we hardly feel its importance, however
whenever there is a scarcity of water we realize how
useful it is in our day-to-day life ,apart from our
daily use ,we depend on water, to fulfill our other
requirements ,A large amount of water is used in
agriculture, to produce food, also industries use
water, to carry out various processes ,increasing
demand of electricity is also needs water Although
the earth has a huge stock of water, the amount of
water that can be used by human beings and other
animals is very small. The figure shows about the
availability of fresh water —as per diagram shown
below——of the total water available on earth,
97.40%is in the oceans. Due to its salinity it cannot
be used by human beings most of the fresh water is
frozen in the polar.
