teachers <strong>and</strong>/or parents to complete regarding students suspected of being talented in theatre. Please<br />

have the teacher <strong>and</strong> parent complete the form <strong>and</strong> submit it to you. Then forward the form by pony,<br />

email or fax to Mat Grau, Lead <strong>Talented</strong> <strong>Theatre</strong> Education Teacher home-based at Ellender Middle<br />

(Email: mat.grau@jppss.k12.la.us or Fax: 504-348-0054).<br />

If there isn’t a <strong>Talented</strong> <strong>Theatre</strong> Education Teacher assigned to your school, you will be notified of who<br />

for the <strong>Talented</strong> <strong>Theatre</strong> Education Program at his/her school. Please note that this screening does not<br />

guarantee participation in the program. It only gives the student an opportunity to be screened by a<br />

team of <strong>Talented</strong> <strong>Theatre</strong> Education Teachers. If the teachers agree that the student has the dramatic<br />

abilities necessary to pass the required state evaluation test, they will complete the necessary paper<br />

work to schedule an evaluation.<br />

The <strong>Talented</strong> <strong>Theatre</strong> Education Program (TTEP) is designed for students who demonstrate<br />

exceptional ability in the performing arts of theatre. Classes take place at school during regular school<br />

hours. However, if the student participates in any TTEP productions, after school rehearsals are<br />

required <strong>and</strong> transportation to <strong>and</strong> from rehearsals is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.<br />

comes in the form of a letter from the Office of Pupil Appraisal.<br />
