GRAPHICS: SPECIALITY STUDY<br />
High relief print techniques<br />
II course I and II semester<br />
3 CP / 4.5 ECTS<br />
Objective: Study <strong>of</strong> manual print techniques for creative work.<br />
Study <strong>of</strong> all printing techniques <strong>of</strong> high relief procedure. Starting with engraving tasks with s<strong>of</strong>t materials<br />
such as lino or plastics, followed by composition and engraving on board wood. Board wood printing is<br />
studied in Eastern (ukyo-e) as well as Western printing procedure. Single as well as multi-colour<br />
compositions are created in all mentioned materials. The course will end with filigree engraving - wood<br />
engraving.<br />

Intaglio techniques<br />
II course I and II semester<br />
3 CP / 4.5 ECTS<br />
Objective: Studying <strong>of</strong> manual intaglio techniques for creative work.<br />
In Western print art intaglio techniques have played essential role from the beginning <strong>of</strong> print art. There are<br />
many intaglio techniques and they have been constantly improved throughout the history until today. This<br />
curriculum covers six out <strong>of</strong> nine intaglio techniques generally taught in the department, starting with<br />
mechanical procedures and continuing with etching techniques.<br />
