Doug moves past Jem, who HITS Doug. Doug GRABS Jem<br />
around the waist. Jem breaks free and rains a few more<br />
BLOWS. Doug pulls Jem’s SHIRT OVER HIS HEAD like a<br />
hockey fight, but Jem gets one arm loose and PISTOL-WHIPS<br />
Doug with a GUN he has produced. Blood in his mouth,<br />
Doug staggers back against the fence.<br />
He looks up at Jem who holds the gun on him. Both are<br />
panting.<br />
JEM<br />
I tried to help you.<br />
DOUG<br />
I didn’t need your fucking help.<br />
JEM<br />
Don’t say that. Don’t do that.<br />
DOUG<br />
I could have handled it.<br />
JEM<br />
You were seventeen and never held<br />
a gun. Trying to play hockey.<br />

yards with a bullet in his heart.<br />

track.<br />
Jem indicates the spot in front of him.<br />
