The Recreation Department averages over 80,0000 patron visits each month at five recreation centers and serves over 9,000 youth per year enrolled in various structured programs. During the school year, children and teens are invited to join us after school to participate in fun activities. KNO’S (Kids Night Out)<br />

Friday night, but parents can get a break <strong>to</strong>o! KNO’s include<br />
crafts and games with recreation staff there <strong>to</strong> supervise and<br />
organize. Pre-registration required, contact the center for more<br />

prepare healthy snacks and meals while learning about nutrition<br />

KIDS’ CUISINE COOKING CLASS<br />
Let’s celebrate food! Cooking is an adventure! Learn how <strong>to</strong><br />
create fun and good things <strong>to</strong> eat. This is a hands-on class where<br />
kids work <strong>to</strong>gether in the kitchen. Cooking incorporates many<br />
concepts of math, reading, and science in a fun and yummy way.<br />
The course will cover recipe reading, measuring, learning about<br />
utensils and cookware, cooking vocabulary, table manners,<br />
menu planning, and kitchen safety, And of course we eat what<br />
we create!<br />
Pre-registration at Bos<strong>to</strong>nia Center is required. Space is limited.<br />
