My interest for writing family Chronicles and arrange opportunities
for relatives to meet began when I came to the USA in 1978. This
was the first time I met with my relatives over there. In order to
find out how we were related I designed a family tree and wrote a
simple chronicle about roots in the province of Närke in Sweden.
This first chronicle was translated. It is this old Chronicle I have now
elaborated into ”Närketrilogin”. This book is not translated.
I was so eager to find out more
about how my own forfathers and
formothers lived their lives, I have
produced Part 1 and 2 of the Helling
Family Chronicle, starting with how
my grandfather Per Adolf met with
Edla, his partner for life. Now it is
time for someone else to continue
writing our family story.
