When Peter Halling (Pehrsson) and
his family came by paddle steamer
upstreams 1870 on Mississippi they
landed at Lake City, a town by the
river opposite Stockholm. From
there they travelled to Nerike Hill
where brother Lars Erik Peterson
had built his cabin two years earlier.
