Olof Jansson was born in Stora Storbjörboda in 1830. In 1841, at 11 years of age he moved with his family to Ingvaldstorp. His brothers, Lars and Erik, had already moved to Stockholm and Peter had the opportunity to go to the Katedral school in Örebro. His siblings; Anna Cajsa 26, Johan 24, Christina 21, Frans 13, and Carl Fredrik 8 all moved back to his father´s home village. Between 1844 and 1848, these five children then left their home in Ingvaldstorp. In 1851, the youngest son moved to Stockholm and one year later daughter Christina returned home to take care of her elderly father, Jan Larsson and mother Anna, now in their 60s.
