Elizabeth E. Umphress is an assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor in the Mays Business<br />

School at Texas A&M University. Her research focuses on three related<br />

themes: organizational justice, ethical behavior, <strong>and</strong> diversity. Her work<br />

has appeared in journals such as Academy <strong>of</strong> Management Journal, Journal<br />

<strong>of</strong> Applied <strong>Psychology</strong>, Organization Science, <strong>and</strong> Organizational Behavior <strong>and</strong><br />

Human Decision Processes. Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Umphress also serves on the editorial<br />

board <strong>of</strong> <strong>The</strong> Academy <strong>of</strong> Management Review.<br />

Frank Vogelgesang is Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor in the Economic <strong>and</strong> Social<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong> Unit at Georg-August-University Goettingen. He received<br />

his Ph.D. from Dresden University <strong>of</strong> Technology. His research interests<br />

center on communication <strong>and</strong> decision making in groups <strong>and</strong> on the formation<br />

<strong>of</strong> false beliefs as a consequence <strong>of</strong> social hypothesis testing (especially<br />

in legal contexts). As a qualified trainer, Dr. Vogelgesang transports<br />

research findings in the fields <strong>of</strong> communication, decision making, <strong>conflict</strong><br />

management <strong>and</strong> resolution, <strong>and</strong> team work from lab to life. He is<br />

author/co-author <strong>of</strong> several journal articles <strong>and</strong> chapters in edited books.<br />

Laurie R. Weingart is Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Organizational Behavior <strong>and</strong> Director<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Teams at the David A. Tepper<br />

School <strong>of</strong> Business, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.<br />

Her research focuses on <strong>conflict</strong> management in work groups <strong>and</strong><br />

the tactical behavior <strong>and</strong> cognitive processes <strong>of</strong> negotiators in both dyads<br />

<strong>and</strong> groups. Her research has been published in Academy <strong>of</strong> Management<br />

Journal, <strong>The</strong> Academy <strong>of</strong> Management Review, Journal <strong>of</strong> Applied <strong>Psychology</strong>,<br />

Journal <strong>of</strong> Personality <strong>and</strong> Social <strong>Psychology</strong>, Journal <strong>of</strong> Experimental Social<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong>, Cognitive Science, International Journal <strong>of</strong> Conflict Management,<br />

<strong>and</strong> Research in Organizational Behavior, among others. She currently serves<br />

on the editorial boards <strong>of</strong> Journal <strong>of</strong> Personality <strong>and</strong> Social <strong>Psychology</strong>, <strong>The</strong><br />

Academy <strong>of</strong> Management Review, Organizational Behavior <strong>and</strong> Human Decision<br />
