researchers (out <strong>of</strong> over 102,000) in psychology worldwide.<br />

Jordan Stein is a doctoral student in the Department <strong>of</strong> Management<br />

<strong>and</strong> Organizations at the University <strong>of</strong> Arizona at Tucson. Her research<br />

focuses on organizational justice <strong>and</strong> <strong>conflict</strong>. She has published in the<br />

Journal <strong>of</strong> Management.<br />

Deborah J. Terry is Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Social <strong>Psychology</strong> <strong>and</strong> Executive Dean<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Faculty <strong>of</strong> Social <strong>and</strong> Behavioural Sciences at the University <strong>of</strong><br />

Queensl<strong>and</strong>. Her primary research interests are attitudes, social influence,<br />

persuasion, group processes, <strong>and</strong> intergroup relations. She also has<br />

applied research interests in organizational <strong>and</strong> health psychology. She<br />

has published widely in these areas, is co-editor <strong>of</strong> Social Identity Processes<br />

in Organizational Contexts (2001) <strong>and</strong> Attitudes, Behavior, <strong>and</strong> Social Context:<br />

<strong>The</strong> Role <strong>of</strong> Group Norms <strong>and</strong> Group Membership (1999), <strong>and</strong> holds editorial<br />

positions with the British Journal <strong>of</strong> <strong>Psychology</strong> <strong>and</strong> the European Journal <strong>of</strong><br />

Social <strong>Psychology</strong>.<br />

Sherry Thatcher is Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor in the Management Information<br />

Systems Department at the Eller College <strong>of</strong> Management, University <strong>of</strong><br />

Arizona. Her research focuses on the implications <strong>of</strong> diversity, faultlines,<br />

<strong>and</strong> identity on <strong>conflict</strong>, communication, <strong>and</strong> performance. She has published<br />

in <strong>The</strong> Academy <strong>of</strong> Management Review, Group Decision <strong>and</strong> Negotiation,<br />

<strong>and</strong> International Journal <strong>of</strong> Conflict Management.<br />

Dean Tjosvold is the Henry Y. W. Fong Chair Pr<strong>of</strong>essor, Management<br />

Department, Lingnan University, Hong Kong. He has also taught at Pennsylvania<br />

State University <strong>and</strong> Simon Fraser University, <strong>and</strong> has held several<br />

visiting pr<strong>of</strong>essorships. He is a past president <strong>of</strong> the International<br />

Association <strong>of</strong> Conflict Management <strong>and</strong> was elected to the Academy <strong>of</strong><br />

Management Board <strong>of</strong> Governors in 2004. He has published over 200 articles,<br />

20 books, 30 book chapters, <strong>and</strong> 100 conference papers on managing<br />

<strong>conflict</strong>, cooperation <strong>and</strong> competition, decision making, power, <strong>and</strong> other<br />

management issues. He has served on several editorial boards, including<br />

<strong>The</strong> Academy <strong>of</strong> Management Review, Journal <strong>of</strong> Organizational Behavior, Journal<br />

<strong>of</strong> Occupational <strong>and</strong> Organizational <strong>Psychology</strong>, <strong>and</strong> Journal <strong>of</strong> Management,<br />

<strong>and</strong> is now Asian editor for the Journal <strong>of</strong> World Business. With colleagues,<br />

he has written books on teamwork, leadership, <strong>and</strong> <strong>conflict</strong> management<br />

in China published in Chinese. He is a partner in his family’s health care<br />

business, which has 900 employees, <strong>and</strong> is based in Minnesota.
