Public consultation<br />

Extensive public consultation was undertaken in<br />

<strong>the</strong> preparation <strong>of</strong> this <strong>nomination</strong>. Those consulted<br />

included a number <strong>of</strong> specialists and organisations<br />

involved with heritage and modern architecture;<br />

building users and those involved in <strong>the</strong> care <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Sydney</strong> <strong>Opera</strong> <strong>House</strong>; government departments that<br />

have responsibility for <strong>the</strong> care <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> city within <strong>the</strong><br />

buffer zone; and representatives <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> public with<br />

a direct interest in <strong>the</strong> site. Consultation included<br />
