Busselton Jetty | View the longest wooden jetty
in the Southern Hemisphere, stretching out over
picturesque blue waters.
Yallingup Shearing Shed | See an Australian sheep
dog and shearing demonstration.
Margaret River township | Take some free time
to explore the quaint shops featuring the work of
local craftspeople, chic cafés and speciality stores.
Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse | We visit this 1890s
lighthouse, built from local limestone on the
most south-westerly tip of Australia, where the
Southern and Indian oceans meet.
Mammoth Cave | A guided tour of this 500m-long,
30m-deep gothic cave structure featuring
impressive structures, fossils and the remains of
the extraordinary megafauna
(giant mammals).
Boranup Forest | We drive through this 100-yearold
regrowth forest, home to the third tallest tree
in the world, the karri tree.
Pemberton | This pretty timber town is home to
forests with the Tall Trees and in spring, carpets of
colourful wildflowers.

Tree Top Walk and Ancient Empire Walk | Get a
bird’s eye view 40m above the forest floor from
a lightweight bridge among the tingle trees, and
bask in a grove of 400-year-old tingle trees on the
Ancient Empire Walk.
Gloucester Tree | This towering 61m karri tree was
once used as a fire look-out and has been climbed
by more than 1 million people – will you take the
opportunity to climb it?
Wilderness Cruise | We take a luncheon cruise
with a local guide on the Nornalup Inlet, known
for its rich, diverse marine environment.

Day 1: Perth to Margaret River region
Travel to the Margaret River wine region
via Yallingup Shearing Shed. After lunch
we visit the chocolate and cheese factories
(time permitting) then Busselton. (LD)
Accommodation: Abbey Beach Resort,
Busselton or similar.
Day 2: Margaret River to Pemberton region
Enjoy free time in the township of Margaret
River before heading to Surfers Point Lookout.
Tour Mammoth Cave, then through Boranup
Forest to visit Augusta and Cape Leeuwin
Lighthouse. Climb the Gloucester Tree and get
an amazing view across the tall timber forest.

Day 3: Pemberton region to Perth via
Tree Top Walk
Stroll to majestic Beedelup Falls then travel
to the coastal resort town of Walpole.
We take a luncheon cruise on the Nornalup
Inlet and visit the Valley of the Giants Tree
Top Walk. Change to another vehicle and head
back to Perth, via Kodja Place Visitor Centre
for dinner (own expense). (BL)
