You just need to choose which region to explore! Coral Coast Region The Coral Coast is named due to the extensive 260 kilometre coral reef that runs along the edge of Western Australia. It is so easy to explore this beautiful fringe reef as in places you can snorkel right off the beach. View amazing coral and turtles or search for Dolphins, Manta Rays and the majestic Whale Sharks. The Coral Coast holds many treasures to discover including; World Heritage listed Shark Bay, the intimate dolphin meeting site of Monkey Mia and Kalbarri National Park. This 183 000 hectare National Park provides spectacular scenery. In season you can find more than 12 000 species of wildflowers covering 2.5 million square kilometres of Western Australia for several months each year. On the coast is little known Shell Beach glistening with millions of tiny white shells. At the base of Shark Bay is Hamelin Pool and the best collection of living marine stromatolites in the world. Rolling white sand dunes of Lancelin provide perfect sand boarding and 4WD opportunities. There is nothing quite like the mystical moon like landscape of the <strong>Pinnacle</strong>s Desert. Stunning photos come easily as limestone pillars rise up to 4 metres out of the yellow sands casting shadows. 12 South West Region Margaret River is the perfect place to indulge in gourmet food and premium wine. There may only be around 60 wineries here, but they contribute more than 20 percent of Australia’s premium wine. Stock up on the region’s most renowned variety, Cabernet Sauvignon or sample the Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Semillon. Your taste buds will be sated when complimented with locally produced chocolates, cheese and condiments. The township itself is home to restaurants and cafés where you can sample the local produce, as well as small galleries selling the work of local artists. The beautiful South West region is also home to ancient forests. Explore the tranquility of Boranup Forest and walk amongst towering Karri trees. For a birds eye view of the Tingle Trees we walk along an elevated walkway 40 metres above the ground on a Tree Top Walk in Denmark. Hidden beneath the magical forests is an underground cave network. View rock formations, fossils and remains of Australian megafauna (giant mammals) at Mammoth Cave. Above the ground granite formations are laid bare, we visit Wave Rock (believed to be 2700 million years in the making) – which stands like a giant wave ready to crash on the bushland ‘shore’.
