Full Day Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk<br />

Travelling through spectacular south-west forests and lush farmland, your day is topped off by a walk through the<br />

canopy of towering old-growth forest and visit to the culturally significant Kodja Place.<br />

Tour highlights Itinerary<br />

Donnybrook | Known as the ‘Apple Capital’ of<br />

the South West, travel through this unique town.<br />

If time permits be sure to buy yourself some<br />

delicious local produce.<br />

Diamond Tree | This 51 metre tall Karri tree has<br />

been operating as a fire lookout for over 70 years,<br />

following it’s construction on 1940. If you are up<br />

for an adventure then you can try and climb this<br />

tree, making your way up along the metal spikes<br />

in the side of the tree. The breathtaking views<br />

from the top of the lookout are worth the climb.<br />

Valley of the Giants | Get up close and personal<br />

with these 400 year old giants of the south west<br />

tingle forest region. Walk through the treetop<br />

canopy, along the gradually elevated walkway,<br />

suitable for all ages. The highest point of the 600<br />

metre loop is about 40 metres.<br />

Ancient Empire | Featuring a grove of tingle trees<br />

the Ancient Empire is a picturesque walk, be in<br />

awe at the sheer size of these giants, with some<br />

of the trees circumferences spanning up to 16<br />

metres.<br />

William Bay | View the stunning coastal scenery<br />

and windswept rocky shores, famous at William<br />

Bay.<br />

Kodja Place | Rich in cultural history the Kodja<br />

Place Visitor Centre features an informative display<br />

of insight in to traditional Noongar history of the<br />

area and life of the tight knit community.<br />

Wildflowers (seasonal) | Stop to view<br />

wildflowers throughout the tour whilst they are<br />

in season. Varieties include the orange flowering<br />

Christmas Tree, Kangaroo Paw, Banksia, Wattle<br />

and Everlastings.<br />

Includes: Luxury travel, lunch, expert<br />

commentary and entry fees.<br />

Notes: Strong wind conditions may result in<br />

the closure of the Tree Top Walk – alternative<br />

touring arrangements will be made. Profusion<br />

of wildflowers depends on weather and other<br />

conditions, therefore we can’t guarantee<br />

sightings. Wear comfortable walking shoes,<br />

bring a hat and camera.<br />

Travel south through Donnybrook, famous<br />

for its apple and stone fruit orchards. Enjoy<br />

scenic touring through rolling farmlands of the<br />

Blackwood River Valley.<br />

Travel through Western Australia’s old growth<br />

forest to see the 51m tall Diamond Tree bush fire<br />

watch tower. Climb it it you dare, or simply enjoy<br />

a picnic lunch in a tranquil bush setting. We then<br />

visit the Valley of the Giants ‘Tree Top Walk,’ a<br />

600 metre long elevated walkway through the<br />

forest canopy reaching up to 40 metres above<br />

ground. On the ground walk through the Ancient<br />

Empire of wide girthed Tingle Trees up to 10<br />

metres in diameter.<br />

Visit Denmark before returning to Perth at<br />

approximately 10.30pm. Stop en route for dinner<br />

(own expense) at Kodja Place Visitor Centre.<br />
