i am pleased to welcome all of you, on behalf of<br />
the university of st.gallen (Hsg), to the Hsg banking<br />
days <strong>2013</strong>. some of you have already honored us with<br />
your presence in past years and some of you will bring a<br />
refreshing quality to the banking days. this year’s Hsg<br />
banking days builds on the success of previous years providing<br />
a bridge between students and leading international companies<br />
from the banking and Financial industry.<br />
the past years have seen enormous changes to the industry<br />
and the financial markets and the university of st.gallen<br />
has taken these up in its research and analysis. therefore it<br />
is more important than ever for st.gallen’s students to be<br />
interacting with future employers and gaining insight into<br />
the future of the industry.<br />
as part of the university’s strategy for working<br />
with corporate partners, i expect that once<br />
again the Hsg banking days will provide a successful<br />
platform and meet the expectations<br />

to be part of the 9th Hsg banking<br />
days that take place from october the 7th to<br />
october the 18th, <strong>2013</strong>, at the university of<br />
st.gallen (Hsg).<br />
the Hsg banking days is the biggest recruitment event<br />
in the autumn semester of the university and serve as a<br />
bridge between the world’s most prestigiuos financial service<br />
firms and our talented students. as in previous years, the Hsg<br />
banking days are organised by the student initiatives aiesec<br />
st.gallen and bankers’ club in cooperation with the career services<br />
center of the university of st.gallen (csc-Hsg).<br />
We are convinced that the Hsg banking days once more will provide<br />
a professional platform that enables future careers and meets<br />
the expectations of both recruiters and students.<br />

For the first time the Hsg banking days <strong>2013</strong> will commence with<br />
a highly distinguished opening event on Wednesday, october the<br />
2nd at 06:15 pm in the senatsraum (09-011). in a moderated discussion,<br />
recruiters and experienced professionals from the most<br />
prestigious financial services firms will debate on recruiting issues<br />
in front of interested students.<br />
the discussion topic of this year’s opening event is: “Behind<br />
the scenes – what really makes the difference in a<br />
job interview”<br />
today’s application requirements of financial services firms are<br />
diverse and cause uncertainty among many students when thinking<br />
about applying for internships or entry positions. insiders will<br />
take the students behind the recruiting process and report what<br />
really matters to get the job. What are the main personality traits<br />
recruiters and experienced professionals focus on interviewing<br />
an applicant? Why are especially these personality traits crucial<br />
within the financial services industry? this will be just a few questions<br />
forming the controversial discussion.<br />

students will take part in a case study. the content of the session<br />
is depending upon the area/group the company is recruiting for.<br />
Interviews<br />
students will have the opportunity for first round interviews. interviews<br />
can vary whether you are applying for an internship or<br />
a full time position.<br />
Presentations<br />
Presentations offer the possibilty to get to know a number of<br />
interesting companies. you are welcome to meet business representatives<br />
and ask them what you always wanted to know about<br />
their company.<br />

<strong>Banking</strong> Insight – no application needed<br />
this new format offers the perfect perspective into companies<br />
and their business. companies will present their career opportunities<br />
and let students experience their values and visions. Places<br />
will be offered to interested students in the order that they arrive<br />
in at the event.<br />
Rotation Dinner<br />
students can get in touch with recruiters in a more informal setting.<br />
the dinner can build a great base fort the future recruitment<br />
