Finishing area with 90-m cooling bed.
The finishing area comprises a 90-m-long
cooling bed, various transport systems, a
cold shear, bundling equipment, four automatic
tying machines with automatic labeling
system, bundle conveyors, and all
required auxiliary facilities. The two VCC ®
Vertical Compact Coilers consist of cooling
boxes, shears, spooling equipment, a
spool manipulator, two strapping machines,
transport facilities and a weighing
station.
SMS Meer as full-line supplier. In addition
to all mechanical equipment, SMS
Meer supplied the complete electric and
electronic equipment, controls as well as
the software for the automation of the
rolling mill. Erection, supervision of rollingmill
commissioning and training of customer’s
personnel were also included in
our scope.

8 and 16 mm and are coiled on the
two VCC ® facilities at speeds of up
to 35 m/s
