This letter transmits <strong>Hanford</strong> Facility RCRA permit modification notification form 24590-WTP-<br />

PCN-ENV-04-0014 (Attachment 1) for the State of Washington Department of Ecology<br />

(Ecology) review and approval. The form describes a requested Class 1 modification to the<br />

Reference. A Bechtel National, Inc. certification statement is provided in Attachment 2.<br />

The modification proposes to update select mechanical data sheets in Appendices 8.6, 9.6, 10.6,<br />

and 11.6 for the Pretreatment Facility, Low-Activity Waste Facility, High-Level Waste Facility,<br />

and the Laboratory, respectively, of the Reference. The data sheets have been updated to reflect<br />

minor design changes that have occurred since the data sheets were originally approved by<br />

Ecology. The design changes do not affect the form ; function, or fit of the plant items.<br />

This modification request was discussed in advance with your staff. If you have any questions,<br />

The purpose of this permit modification is to transmit selected updated mechanical data sheets listed in the<br />

<strong>Hanford</strong> Facility RCRA Permit, Attachment 51, Appendices 8.6, 9.6, 10.6, and 11.6 for the Pretreatment<br />

Facility, Low-Activity Waste Facility, High-Level Waste Facility, and the Laboratory respectively. The data<br />

sheets (attached) have been updated to reflect minor design changes that have occurred since the data<br />

sheets were originally approved by the Washington State Department of Ecology. This design detail does<br />

Facility Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Permit Modification Notification Form<br />

(24590-WTP-PCN-ENV-04-0014) to update select mechanical data sheets in Appendices 8.6,<br />

9.6, 10.6, and 11.6 for the Pretreatment Facility; Low-Activity Waste Facility, High-Level Waste<br />

Facility, and the Laboratory, respectively, in the Dangerous Waste Permit.<br />
