duction (SNCR) units. The fluctuations in time series follow the fluctuations<br />

in fuel consumption and electricity trade.<br />

The emission of NMVOC in 2010 was 5.2 times the 1990 emission level. This<br />

is a result of the large number of gas engines that has been installed in Danish<br />

CHP plants. The decreasing emission in 2004-2009 and the increase in<br />

2010 compared to 2009 are results of the time series <strong>for</strong> natural gas consumption<br />

in gas engines (Figure 3.27).<br />

The CO emission was 42 % higher in 2010 than in 1990. The fluctuations follow<br />

the fluctuations of the fuel consumption. In addition, the emission from<br />

gas engines is considerable.<br />

3HWUROHXP UHILQLQJ is a small source category regarding both fuel consumption<br />

and emissions <strong>for</strong> stationary combustion. Presently only two refineries<br />

are operating in Denmark. Figure 3.33 shows the time series <strong>for</strong> fuel consumption<br />

and emissions.<br />

The significant decrease in both fuel consumption and emissions in 1996 is a<br />

result of the closure of a third refinery.<br />
