emissions. The emission of NMVOC shows a decreasing trend from 1990 to<br />

2010.<br />

The emission of NMVOC from production of chemical ingredients has been<br />

measured from 1996 to 2010 (Danisco Grindsted, 2011). The emission has decreased<br />

from 100 to 12 tonnes NMVOC in this period. However, no explanation<br />

can be given on these conditions, as in<strong>for</strong>mation on activity is not available.<br />

The time series are either based on specific measurements or by using company-specific<br />

emission factors and activity data. There<strong>for</strong>e, the time series<br />

are considered to be consistent.<br />

The emission factors <strong>for</strong> production of nitric acid and sulphuric acid have<br />

been verified by comparison with standard emission factors<br />

(EMEP/CORINAIR, 2007). Detailed discussion of QA/QC can be found in<br />

The sub-sector 0HWDO SURGXFWLRQ (NFR 2C) covers the following processes:<br />

• Steelworks (SNAP 040207)<br />

• Rolling mills (SNAP 040208)<br />

• Iron foundries (SNAP 030303)<br />

• Secondary lead production (SNAP 030307)<br />

• Secondary zinc production (SNAP 030308)<br />

• Secondary aluminium production (SNAP 030310)<br />

• Allied metal manufacturing (SNAP 040306)<br />

The time series <strong>for</strong> emission of heavy metals and particulate matter from<br />

0HWDO SURGXFWLRQ (NFR 2C) are presented in Table 4.5.<br />

The emission inventory <strong>for</strong> metal production is based on specific emissions<br />

from steelworks and secondary aluminium manufacturing as well as average<br />

emission factors <strong>for</strong> iron foundries, secondary lead and zinc manufacturing,<br />

and allied metal manufacturing. Regarding the steelworks that use iron<br />

and steel scrap as raw material, the emissions to a large degree depend on<br />

the quality of the scrap. This fact may result in large annual variations <strong>for</strong><br />

one or more of the heavy metals. This may be the case <strong>for</strong> iron foundries, as
