The inventory will be improved regarding coverage of pollutants included.<br />

Especially glass wool and mineral wool will be extended. The inconsistent<br />

production will be improved.<br />

The sub-sector &KHPLFDO LQGXVWU\ (NFR 2B) covers the following processes:<br />

• Production of sulphuric acid (SNAP 040401)<br />

• Production of nitric acid/fertiliser (SNAP 040402/040407)<br />

• Production of catalysts/fertilisers (SNAP 040416/040407)<br />

• Production of chemical ingredients (SNAP 040500)<br />

• Production of pesticides (SNAP 040525)<br />

The time series <strong>for</strong> emission of acidifying substances, NMVOC and particulate<br />

matter from &KHPLFDO LQGXVWU\ (NFR 2B) are presented in Table 4.4.<br />

The time series <strong>for</strong> SO2 follows the amount of sulphuric acid produced, i.e.<br />

the fluctuation follows the activity until the activity ceased in 1997. The same<br />

is the case <strong>for</strong> NOX from production of nitric acid; however, the emission of<br />

NOX pr amount produced is decreasing from 1994 to 2004; see Figure 4.1.<br />

The emission of NH3 does not follow the activity as it appears from the fluctuation<br />

in the emission pr amount produced. The production of nitric acid<br />

and fertiliser stopped in the middle of 2004.
