oil to natural gas has contributed to the decrease. The emission from gas engines<br />

and wood combustion has increased.<br />

The NMVOC emission in 2010 was 2.0 times the 1990 emission level. The<br />

large increase is a result of the increased combustion of wood that is the<br />

main source of emission. The increased consumption of natural gas in gas<br />

engines (Figure 3.46) also contributes to the increased NMVOC emission.<br />

The CO emission has decreased 5 % since 1990. The emission from wood<br />

and from natural gas fuelled engines and boilers has increased whereas the<br />

emission from gas oil has decreased. This is a result of the change of fuels<br />

used in the sector.<br />

The emission source category 5HVLGHQWLDO SODQWV consists of both stationary<br />

and mobile sources. In this chapter, only stationary sources are included.<br />

Figure 3.52 shows the time series <strong>for</strong> fuel consumption and emissions.<br />

For residential plants, the total fuel consumption has been rather stable, and<br />

in 2010, the consumption was 4 % higher than in 1990. However, the consumption<br />

of gas oil has decreased since 1990 whereas the consumption of<br />
