quality. Furthermore, the controller owns some protection functions to tackle under-voltage,
over-current and power-off when braking and so on, which greatly promote the reliability of the
finished bicycle.
Ⅴ. Usage and maintenance of the finished bicycle
1. A comprehensive examination, repair and maintenance of the finished bicycle should be carried
out after a period of riding. Regularly inspect the brake, tires, handlebars and lighting.
2. Increase the braking distance properly when riding the bicycle in rain and snow, and wipe dry the
bicycle after riding.
3. Adjust the saddle and handlebars to a suitable height prior to riding. Following method is useful
when determining the suitable height of saddle: when the crank is in parallel with the ground, the
vertical line of the knuckle should exactly pass the centre of the pedal; when the pedal in its lowest
point, the knuckle should be slightly flexural. Note: The secure line onto the saddle cannot be
revealed. Following method is useful when determining the suitable height of handlebars: The
angle of upper body of the rider (namely the angel between the horizontal line through the hip joint
and the line from the centre of hip joint to the center of cervical vertebra) should be kept within
35—40 degree. Note: The secure line onto the handlebars cannot be revealed.
4. The application torque for the handlebars and stem is 16-18N.m. The application torque for the
fasteners of saddle and seat tube is 18-20N.m. The application torques for rear tire and front tire
are 40-45N.m. and 18-20N.m. respectively.
