Conservation Interruptible Load Load Management<br />

Summer and winter peak demand savings, in addition to non-peak demand savings, translate<br />

to net energy savings <strong>of</strong> nearly 10,000 GWh in 2017, which is an increase <strong>of</strong> more than 2,500 GWh<br />

over the planning period. Such energy savings allow utilities to avoid burning fossil fuels. Figure 7<br />

below illustrates the projected total amounts <strong>of</strong> annual energy savings from utility-sponsored DSM<br />

programs over the ten-year planning horizon.<br />
