35 John Cousins was a full-time official of the TGWU for 12 years. In 1975 he was appointed Manpower and Industrial Relations
Director at NEDO. He replaced Mr Asher as chair of the Rubber Processing SWP in February 1978. Cousins was appointed
Director of Personnel at Plessey Telecommunications in 1980.
