The operational procedures remain unchanged from 2006/07 with a<br />
combination of Sentry bait stations, Pestoff possum pellets, Timms and Fenn<br />
traps beneath Philproof tunnels used to target all predators.<br />

Operational results are listed on a monthly basis as follows and are valid until<br />

50. Crack willow control<br />
During the 2006/07 year, there was a further contract let to undertake a second<br />
year of crack willow control at Pikes Lagoon. It doesn’t appear that any further<br />
progress was made with this control in the 2007/08 year.<br />
51. The future<br />
For 2008/09 there will be another year of predator control carried out at Pikes<br />
Lagoon. Once again this work will be carried out by <strong>Greater</strong> Wellington<br />
Biosecurity Pest Animals staff. The owners will continue to service some bait<br />
stations and traps above the wetland as they have been doing for the last couple<br />
of years.<br />
52. Costs<br />
Set out below is a breakdown of costs from <strong>Greater</strong> Wellington’s SAP financial<br />
system up until the end of the financial year 30 June 2008.<br />
