Matthew Middlehurst, was a cabinet maker in Falkirk. Matthew Middlehurst was
married to Elizabeth Johnston and their daughter was Margaret Muirhead
Middlehurst who married Alexander Graham and lived at Merchiston House Falkirk.
Mathew acted as cautioner for the apprenticeship indenture of Mathew Alexander
Middlehurst, son of the deceased James Middlehurst, cabinet maker, to Russel &
Aitken, writers, so it is likely that Matthew Alexander Middlehurst was his nephew.
The family were clients of Russel & Aitken, who dealt with their property matters and
executries.
