Summer Undergraduate<br />

Program<br />

• Initiated in Summer 1998. Same schedule as ATL.<br />

• Summer 2005 – 160 students. May 17 th — Aug 1 st .<br />

• 20+ courses in engineering, social sciences, humanities,<br />

management, economics, French, and German<br />

• Students span <strong>Georgia</strong> <strong>Tech</strong> majors (EE, ME, CmpE,<br />

ISyE, CE, AE, BMedE, Mgt dominate)<br />

• Typically 8 Atlanta-based faculty members plus 2-3<br />

adjuncts<br />

• 4-day/week classes of 55-minutes duration<br />

• Students live in residence halls of Supelec (ALOES),<br />

Ensam (Resam), and Crous on the Metz <strong>Tech</strong>nopole<br />

• 3-day, 2-day, and 4-day weekends permit travel

courses to fill out schedule<br />

• Students live in residence halls of Supelec (ALOES),<br />

courses<br />

• 4 to 5 GT Atlanta-based faculty members in<br />

• Cooperation with Supelec (EE/CmpE) and Ensam<br />

(ME) essential for laboratory courses


Steady State Operations<br />

• Undergraduate Summer Program– focus on<br />

sophomore and non-”engineering major” junior<br />

courses, humanities/social sciences (200 students,<br />

all GT majors)<br />

• Fall Engineering Program – focus on “full program”<br />

with electives in the major (also available to “thirdyear”<br />

students) (40 students, EE/CmpE and ME<br />
