y <strong>the</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong> Integrity. A suspended student shall immediately leave<br />
campus and cannot re-enter campus without prior approval from <strong>the</strong> Office <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Student</strong> Integrity. The Dean <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong>s will determ<strong>in</strong>e when <strong>the</strong> Accused has met<br />
<strong>the</strong> requirements for readmission. Any fur<strong>the</strong>r discipl<strong>in</strong>ary violation may result <strong>in</strong><br />
discipl<strong>in</strong>ary action up to and <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Expulsion. Suspension is <strong>of</strong>ficially<br />
recorded <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Student</strong>’s discipl<strong>in</strong>ary file.<br />
e. Expulsion<br />
Expulsion means that <strong>the</strong> <strong>Student</strong> has been found responsible for violat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />
Institute’s <strong>Code</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Conduct</strong>. Expulsion is permanent separation and term<strong>in</strong>ation<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Accused’s status as a <strong>Georgia</strong> <strong>Tech</strong> student, and exclusion from Institute<br />
Premises, privileges, and activities. Expulsion is <strong>of</strong>ficially recorded <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Student</strong>’s discipl<strong>in</strong>ary file.<br />
2. Supplementary Requirements<br />
a. Restitution<br />
Payment to <strong>the</strong> Institute or to an affected party for damages result<strong>in</strong>g from a<br />
violation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Code</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Conduct</strong>.<br />
b. F<strong>in</strong>e<br />
A monetary penalty paid to <strong>the</strong> Institute.<br />
c. Grade Change<br />
Change <strong>of</strong> grade for <strong>the</strong> course and/or coursework <strong>in</strong> which <strong>the</strong> academic<br />
misconduct occurred.<br />
d. Programmatic Requirements<br />
Required completion <strong>of</strong> designated educational programs (i.e. alcohol,<br />
Community issues, anger management, assessments, etc.).<br />
e. Restrictions<br />
Exclusion from participation <strong>in</strong> specified services and activities.<br />
f. Revocation <strong>of</strong> Admission and/or Degree<br />
Admission to or a degree awarded from <strong>the</strong> Institute may be revoked for fraud,<br />
misrepresentation, or o<strong>the</strong>r violation <strong>of</strong> Institute standards <strong>in</strong> obta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> degree,<br />
or for o<strong>the</strong>r serious violations committed by a <strong>Student</strong> prior to graduation.<br />
g. Withhold<strong>in</strong>g Degree<br />
The Institute may withhold award<strong>in</strong>g a degree o<strong>the</strong>rwise earned until <strong>the</strong><br />
completion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> process set forth <strong>in</strong> this <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Code</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Conduct</strong>, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />
completion <strong>of</strong> all Sanctions and Supplementary Requirements, if any.<br />
h. O<strong>the</strong>r Requirements<br />
O<strong>the</strong>r Requirements may be imposed.<br />
