Thailand. Some data were presented by published books, journals, annual reports, internet
websites, and thesis. The secondary data that were collected in this study are following:
- The profile of organization: history, vision, objective, role and activity
- The law, policy and plan of organization
- The alliances of organization or the cooperation between organizations
- The knowledge related to plastic waste management in Thailand
- The leadership on plastic waste management in Thailand
- The strength of organization: resources, ability, knowledge and activity
- The weakness of organization: resources, ability, knowledge and activity
- The opportunity and treat which are countered by organization
- The problem and solution of organization during improving plastic waste
management in Thailand
- The recommendation and reference from the other organization
- The effect of organization on plastic waste management in Thailand
The data collection step required the initial analysis to focus on the specific stakeholders of
plastic waste management in Thailand, so the information of each stakeholder was
reviewed from secondary data sources such as the articles, websites of organizations, and
other documents. Available data of each stakeholder were filled in Table A-2 (see in
Appendix A), and then all information was firstly analyzed considering the leadership and
power of stakeholders. After analyzing the leadership and power of stakeholders, there
were four groups of stakeholders which were interviewed as following:
Group 1: who have leadership and high power (Level 3)
Group 2: who have leadership and medium power (Level 2)
Group 3: who do not have leadership but have high to medium power (Level 2 or 3)
Group 4: who do not have leadership, and have low power (Level 1)
3.5.2.2 Primary data collection
The stakeholders in each group (see Table 3.2) were chosen and interviewed in this step.
