Your journeY bACk to the uk
On your return journey, you’ll need to go through security screening
and check-in before entering the Channel Tunnel. Local French
stations aren’t able to provide this, so these checks will be carried
out in the Eurostar area at Lille Europe station on the way back to
the UK. There’ll also be a quick ticket check onboard on your journey
to Lille. So, while we recommend you leave yourself enough time to
reach your station when you’re returning from Aix, Avignon or Lyon,
you won’t need to check in there.
When you arrive in Aix-en-Provence, Avignon or Lyon stations
to head home, your train details will be displayed on the station
screens with the destination as London (or Londres).

Here’s

boArding point
Here’s a handy tip for finding your
boarding point in Aix-en-Provence,
Avignon, Lyon and Lille stations
– in French stations, you’ll find a
‘Composition des trains’ screen, (like
the example to the left) which will help
you find the right place to wait on the
platform for your carriage.
Usually, letters of the alphabet are used
to designate a zone on the platform and
the ‘Composition des trains’ screen shows
the zone for your carriage.
When you arrive in Lille, you’ll need to
head straight upstairs to Eurostar
check-in using the staircase, escalator
or lift. Eurostar check-in is in the Hall 4
zone of Lille Europe station. To check in,
have your ticket and your passport or
identity card ready. Check-in closes 30
minutes before your train leaves.
To find your Eurostar carriage in Lille
on your final leg of the journey, use the
Composition des trains poster on the
platform. So, then all you need to do
is find the zone that corresponds to
your carriage number and wait for
your train to arrive.
