7.3 Equipment<br />

The implements provided by the LOC (see implement list in appendix 3) are selected from<br />

those appearing on the current IAAF approved implements list as at 7 May 2010.<br />

Federations requiring IAAF approved implements not listed by the LOC may present such<br />

equipment latest by 17:00 on 20 May to the TIC at the main competition venue -<br />

Sportgorodok - for inclusion in the competition pool, subject to checking. Implements will be<br />

returned only after the completion of all the rounds of the event.<br />

Basic implements will be provided for warm up and training.<br />

7.4 Inspection of Competition Venue<br />

Heads of Delegation may visit the stadium Sportgorodok, inspecting access routes and other<br />

facilities which will be important to the teams on May 20 at 16:00. Heads of Delegation are<br />

to meet by LOC members at the Parking lot of the stadium Sportgorodok from where they<br />

will be escort on this visit.<br />

7.5 Competition Area<br />

The competition will take place on 21-23 May 2010.<br />

The competition venue is Olympic Complex “Luzhniki”:<br />

- the main competition area (except for Hammer and Discus) - stadium “Sportgorodok”;<br />

- warm up and training (except throwing events) – stadium North Sports Complex;<br />

- warm up and training for all throwing events – stadium South Sports Complex<br />

- competition venue for Hammer and Discus – stadium South Sports Complex<br />

There will be shuttle buses going between the venues.<br />

Competition and training venues of the Olympic Complex “Luzhniki” and the surroundings<br />

are shown in appendix 4 of this document. There are about 5000 seats in the stadium.<br />

Main competition venue “Sportgorodok”<br />

- 8 lanes in the straight<br />

- 8 lanes on the oval<br />

- 1 Long/Triple jump site<br />

- 1 Pole Vault site<br />

- 2 High Jump sites<br />

- 1 Shot Put site<br />
