Dear Friends of Sport,
As a citizen of Novi Sad, I am proud that our
City will host the 2009 European Athletics Junior
Championships.
This event offers additional motivation and
encouragement to present our City to the
world through these delightful and healthy
events.
Therefore, our beautiful Novi Sad a city of
distinguished tradition and historical heritage
is looking forward to becoming even richer
through the events that will gather athletes
from all parts of Europe. The organisation of
such an important event presents strong stimulation
for even more rapid development of
both urban and sport culture in our environment.
I am very pleased by the fact that the City of
Novi Sad is once again recognised to be appropriate
to assume the role of the organiser of
this important sport event, which will contribute
to the favourable image of our City and
our country in the world.
We will provide all the conditions for this competition
of young athletes, and I urge all the
competitors to show their qualities through
competitive sport spirit, strong motivation
and a firm resolution for success.

Dragi prijatelji sporta,
Kao gra\anin Novog Sada veoma sam ponosan
što [e naš Grad biti doma[in Evropskog Juniorskog
Atletskog Prvenstva 2009.
Ovaj doga\aj predstavlja dodatni podsticaj
i motivaciju za svetsko predstavljanje našeg
Grada putem očaravaju[ih i zdravih manifestacija.
Zato se naš prelepi Novi Sad grad sa prepoznatljivom
tradicijom i istorijskim nasle\em
priprema da postane još bogatiji tokom
doga\ aja koji [e okupiti sportiste iz svih delova
Evrope. Organizovanje tako važne manifestacije
predstavlja jak stimulans za još brži razvoj
gradske i sportske kulture u našem okruženju.
Veoma me raduje činjenica da je Grad Novi
Sad još jednom prepoznat kao prikladan da
bude organizator tako važne sportske manifestacije,
koja [e doprineti stvaranju pozitivne
slike Grada i naše zemlje u svetu.
Obezbedi[emo sve uslove za ovo takmičenje
mladih sportista, a svim učesnicima takmičenja
želim da pokažu sve svoje kvalitete kroz takmičarski
sportski duh, jaku motivaciju i odlučnost
da uspeju.
