1. Introduction
Products that are printed using
Laser, Copier, Inkjet and Dot-Matrix
technologies can generally be divided
into two categories: A4 sheet fed
products and continuous fed products
(i.e. Electronic Data Processing). This
technical brochure will give you an
overview of our two product ranges,
plus general recommendations on
the usage of our products to optimise
results.
A4 format printing has experienced
tremendous growth over the last
few years, thanks in the main to
the growth in personal computers
and the installation of the various
allied printers that are very much a
part of life at work and at home. The
growth of colour inkjet printing is a
direct result of lower costs, increased
printer speeds and increased print
resolution. The comparative increase
in colour printers and the decline of
monochrome printers is due to higher
consumer expectations and a demand
for higher, professional quality print.
The demand for the processing and
application of variable data using
continuous printing techniques is still
high, particularly within the business
segment for tracking purposes. While
dot matrix technology is declining,
there is growth in the high-speed laser
printing. This requires products that
at high speeds, taking into account
the critical fanfolding and refanfolding
processes.
Of course, the consumer’s expectation
of converting and print quality can
only be met by using consumables
that are compatible with the relevant
print technologies and with products
that continue to keep abreast with
the continuous development of these
printers.
Fasson is a key player in these
market segments, offering the widest
possible range and state of the art
products - thanks to intensive product
development, a well-equipped
applications laboratory, unique
patented technologies, and excellent
service platforms on our standard and
speciality products.
The ranges encompass both paper and
fi lmic facestocks. All products have
been developed to refl ect optimal print
resolution, ink and toner anchorage,
aesthetics and strength for processing.
The paper range contains uncoated
papers, suitable for basic printing,
through to high quality coated papers
which deliver the highest possible
print resolution for optimum print
performance. The fi lm range contains
a range of top coated fi lms with a
variety of fi nishes specifi cally designed
for either laser or inkjet printing.
All products are designed with
adhesives that offer the optimal
balance of tack and adhesion with low
adhesive bleed. Both permanent and
removable adhesives are available.
Our products are developed with
backing liners that ensure excellent
layfl at characteristics and good
product consistency, for optimal
conversion and problem-free
processing in modern printers.
