Anticipating market needs is a complex yet essential component of the labelling and
packaging industry. Complex, because predicting consumer demands for next year and
beyond can involve a lot of unknown quantities. But it is essential that we make every
effort to be ready to meet the changing needs of the modern consumer, who expects to
be impressed with each and every product we provide. Because it is no longer enough
that packaging and decoration technologies perform their primary function – to provide
information. New labels will have to offer increased functionality to satisfy growing
consumer demand for innovation and convenience.
In this issue of IdeaMagazine we look at how market demands are changing, how technology
is changing to meet those demands, and how a partnership in innovation can
help you to embrace these changes. Intelligent Label Technology is moving out of the
R&D lab and into the warehouse, with RFID technology and nanocoating technology
scheduled to break into the market within the coming years.
With all this change around us, how do we prepare for the opportunities these technologies
represent? The answer is to share our collective knowledge and experience
more effectively.
Fasson products are built on the concept of Ideas that Work for You, the discovery,
development and distribution of exciting new opportunities in labelling and packaging
that grow your business. We are committed to working with you, sharing knowledge
and experience so that you can be the innovators for your own customers. Our dedicated
Research Centres help us gather new information on technological developments that
may have industry potential. And as your partner in innovation, we will continue to
pass this information on to you so you can turn opportunities like smart labels into
profitable business reality.
IdeaMagazine is produced to provide you with useful ideas and information to help you
and your business. We welcome any feedback that you think might help us achieve this
goal.
